Skiing at Winterplace, West Virginia
It's cool to look out the sliding glass doors of D101 and see people ski by. Generally somewhere around 9 a.m. is when we hit the slopes. Around 1:30 we come back for lunch and it's not long after when everyone is laying on the couches ready to take a nap. Then we're back on the slopes by 3:30, not coming back again until about 6 p.m. After a day of skiing, myself and 6 others can't wait to get those boots off, stretch our toes, and warm ourselves by the living room electric fire. We remove our long johns and look into the mirror (you'd never think your hair could look that bad), get some coffee, grab a cookie and then you're ready to just die in the chair.
Now, for those who decided they could out last little Stephen Jr (9-yrs-old), he is more than willing to take you the distance. However, "Little Bit" (5-yr-old Morgan, who Winterplace had skiing last year during their Ski-wee program) and I head outside and make us a snow man. We don't have to go far. It's been snowing and the porch is covered.
